POTTERY WHEEL CLASSES

      Learn the basics of throwing clay on the wheel with Matt Hoida, our professional potter. Students will learn how to care for clay, wedging, use of tools and equipment as well as how to throw a cylinder, plate and bowl.  Our well-lit studio is equipped with eight new Brent pottery wheels and is a great environment for learning.

      Class is open to anyone 16 or older and fills on a first-come, first-served basis. Students must pre-register and pay for class ahead of time.

      Class fee is $185 which includes a clay tool kit,2 hours of instruction per week and unlimited studio time for practice during that six week period. Clay used for practicing is also included. Any items that students wish to have fired will be weighed and costs $6.00 per pound. This price includes two firings, studio time to come back and paint your piece, underglazes and clear coat glazing.
